Jake Mai is a Dallas-based singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer whose music blends alternative rock, pop-punk grit, and deeply emotional storytelling. With a decade of international touring and major-label experience, Jake has forged a creative identity that’s as raw, honest, and explosive as his live shows.  Mai has carved out a name both on stage and in the studio—  Self-producing much of his own catalog while working with a wide network of peers.

International Touring & Collaborations
Now a fiercely independent artist, Jake has toured internationally and shared stages with bands Don’t Panic, Makeout, Bowling For Soup, Less Than Jake, Fall Out Boy, The Spill Canvas, Mest, and many more. His global presence includes performances in the U.K., Sweden, Germany, and Australia, and in 2022–2023 alone, Alongside Don’t Panic Jake performed  over 200 shows worldwide, solidifying his place as one of the most driven voices in the independent circuit.

Early Career & Major Label Era
Before launching his solo career, Jake was the lead guitarist and vocalist in New York-based Young and Divine, alongside JP Clark and Joe Bortscheller. After years of relentless touring and a devoted grassroots following, the band signed with RCA Records, releasing the Top 40 single “Shake That Bubble”, which gained national attention through heavy radio play and live performances—eventually earning a gold-certified appearance on NOW 33 via Sony.

Shortly after, Jake caught the attention of Platinum Award-winning,
Grammy-nominated producer John Feldmann (Goldfinger, Blink-182The Used), and in 2010, he began work on his first LP Olivine at Foxy Studios in L.A. He also collaborated with producers Zack Odom & Kenneth Mount (Mayday Parade, Cartel), Casey Di Iorio (Bowling For Soup) at Valve Studios, and Geoff Rockwell (FTSK, Memphis May Fire) at Southside Recorders in Fort Worth.

Solo Work & We Are Fate
Today, Jake leads three creative lanes: his solo work, his band (Freedom, Acceptance, Truth, Evolution)—formed with lifelong friends Jordan Pipka, Casey Hollyfield, and producer Geoff Rockwell—and his most chaotic creative undertaking yet: a darkly surreal animated adult comedy epic, currently in development. It’s a raw, unhinged extension of Jake’s storytelling style—equal parts satire, with heaps of wit, warmth, and utter chaos.

Current Projects & Upcoming Releases
This fall marks the long-awaited vinyl re-release of “Olivine”, with his upcoming album “Venomous” due later this year—followed by more tour dates and new music in late 2025. Drawing from a rich history of experience, major label success and setbacks, and DIY defiance, Jake Mai continues to shape a genre-bending catalog that’s as deeply personal as it is universally resonant.
